No time to try back after a busy signal? Let your phone do the work automatically.

Reject incoming calls if the caller has blocked their information from being shown on your Customer ID display.
1. To turn on, press   .
2. Your phone won't ring if someone calls from a blocked line.
3. To turn off, press   .
4. Blocked callers can get through on a per-call basis by dialing    before placing a call..
5. An incoming "blocked" long distance call is billed to the caller, even if the call was not completed due to Anonymous Call Rejection.
6. Some business or public telephone systems may not have    unblocking capabilities.

Reject all attempts from up to 15 numbers of calling parties by dialing a code and the telephone numbers of calls to be rejected.
1. Dial    or    depending on your service area and select the appropriate option:
2. To establish or add a number to your Call Rejection List, dial    or   .
3. To add the last incoming call to your Call Rejection List, dial    or   , wait for a tone and then dial   .
4. To remove an entry from your Call Rejection List, dial .
To deactivate Call Rejection:
1. Dial   .
2. To remove all entries on your Call Rejection List, dial  .
3. To remove all private entries on your Call Rejection List, dial  .
4. To save your revised Call Rejection List, hang up.

Don't miss calls while you're out. Forward your calls to a selected local, long distance or wireless number. You can still make outgoing calls while Call Forwarding is in effect. This feature only lets you activate Call Forwarding and change forwarding numbers from your home or office phone.
1. Press   .
2. After a second tone, dial the number you want calls forwarded to.
3. When the phone is answered, hang up.
4. If the phone is busy, or no one answers the number you want your calls forwarded to, repeat the first two steps. You'll hear two quick tones. Call forwarding is then activated.
5. A short ring on your phone each time a call is forwarded reminds you Call Forwarding is active.
6. To cancel, press   .

There are several types of Call Forwarding available with NT&T. You will have the option to set up permanent forwarding numbers that you want calls to go to when your line is busy and / or you do not answer, and you can also program your own variable numbers for other situations.
Call Forwarding Busy Line
When a call comes in and your line is busy, the call can forward to a specific number that was programmed by NT&T when you ordered your service.
Call Forwarding No Answer.
Whenever you do not answer after a predetermined number of seconds, your calls can be forwarded to a specific number that has been programmed by NT&T when you ordered your service.

Know who is calling before you answer the phone. The Caller ID Name and Number display unit shows the caller's name and number. It also keeps a log of your most recent calls.
1. After the complete ring, a display unit attached to your phone shows the name and number of most incoming calls.
2. The name, number, date and time of most calls are automatically stored.
3. If "Private" or "Anonymous" displays on your Caller ID unit, it means that the person calling has chosen to block their name and number. If "Unknown", "Unavailable", or "Out of Area" is displayed, the person is calling from an area where Caller ID is not available.

See who it is before answering Call Waiting on your special Call Waiting ID display unit.
1. When you hear the Call Waiting tone, check your Call Waiting ID display to see who is calling.
2. If you want to answer, press and release the switchhook or to put the first call on hold and answer the second call.
To Temporarily turn off
1. Follow the same instructions for turning off Call Waiting

The phone stops ringing before you reach it. Now you can find out who called, and if you choose, automatically redials the number.

Call Transfer lets you direct a call to any other phone, inside or outside your home or business, or to a wireless phone. With Call Transfer, calls reach the right person, freeing your line for more calls.
1. Press and release the switchhook and listen for the dial tone.
2. Dial the phone number you want to transfer the call to.
3. When the phone rings, hang up or stay on the line to announce a call, then hang up.
4. If the number you transfer to, is busy, unanswered, or a wrong number, press the switchhook twice (pausing between) to return the original call.

Don't miss important calls when you are on the phone. Switch to the second call without losing the first one.
1. When you hear the Call Waiting tone, quickly press and release the switchhook or to answer the second call.
2. Press again to switch back.
To temporarily turn off
1. Press    and listen for three brief tones, then a normal dial tone.
2. Dial the phone number you wish to call. Call Waiting will be restored automatically when you hang up.
To temporarily turn off with call in progress
1. Press and release the switchhook or to put your call on hold.
2. Listen for three brief tones and a normal dial tone, then press   .
3. Press the switchhook or again to continue your call without interruption. Call Waiting will be restored automatically when you hang up..
To temporarily turn off while using a modem
Store    as part of your dial-up number, so that Call Waiting will be turned off automatically when you go online. This will protect your modem connection from being disrupted. Call Waiting will be restored automatically when you log off.

Know who the call is for without picking up the phone. Up to four people at your home or business can have their own distinctive ring. No additional equipment or wiring needed.

Up to four phone numbers are assigned to your business for you to distribute. Each number has its own ring. If you have Call Waiting, the tone is different for each Custom Ringing number as well.

If you have a home office, you can combine an Additional Line with Custom Ringing. This will tell you whether your personal line or business line is ringing without having to interrupt your task.

Many businesses have customers or suppliers who need priority attention. A unique ring identifies those callers before you answer.
1. Store up to 15 phone numbers to be identified with a unique ring.
2. To create and change your Priority Call list, press   .
3. If you have Call Waiting, your Priority Calls will be identified by a special tone when you are on another call.
4. To cancel, press   .

Choose the specific callers you want to forward to a local, long distance or wireless number. Use it only for those calls you do not want to miss.
1. Press   .
2. Select up to 15 different numbers to forward.
3. To cancel, press   .

Hunting automatically routes incoming calls through a group of predefined numbers until an open line is available to complete the call. This is programmed through NT&T Communications.

Dial your most important and frequently called number with a simple two-digit code.
To program Speed Calling 30
1. Give each number a two-digit code from 20 to 49.
2. Press   .
3. Enter the two-digit code, then the phone number. Listen for the tone.
To Call
Press the code for the person you are calling, followed by the key.

Dial your most important and frequently called numbers with a simple one-digit code.
To program Speed Calling 8
1. Give each number a one-digit code from 2 to 9.
2. Press   .
3. Enter the one-digit code, then the phone number. Listen for the tone.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the other seven numbers.
To Call
Press the code for the person you are calling, followed by the key.

Talk to two people in separate locations at the same time. This great feature brings up to three people together to a "virtual conference table". Three Way Conferencing can connect both local and long distance calls.

Restrict calls to "976, 900 and 960" fee calls. For no charge NT&T will set a restriction on these numbers.

Restrict collect and third party calls. Select this feature and collect and third party calls will not be accepted.

Inside Wire Maintenance (IWM) is an optional phone program that covers the telephone wiring and jacks inside your home in case of damage. If you have IWM on your home phone account and an inside repair issue should arise you would then not be charged for service calls to repair your home’s inside wiring or jacks.
